The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving huge earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
